When New Era Colorado was founded, we set out to break down systemic barriers that create a huge gap in our generation’s voting power. We saw major victories, like registering over 250,000 young people to vote and passing laws to make voting accessible. As a result, Colorado is one of the best states in the country to be a young voter.
Despite showing up to vote time and time again, young Coloradans still face barriers to transforming democracy. We realized we needed to change our organizational model to truly center our generation’s future in places of power.
Our 2022-2025 strategic plan aims to decrease these barriers with the same level of success we brought to our founding mission.
