We’re ready to name names in our latest and greatest project, Champs vs. Chumps. 👀 We’ll highlight the champs – leaders pushing for bold change that advances the Youth Agenda – and call out the chumps – those standing in the way of progress and causing harm to our communities.

CHUMP: Governor Jared Polis
According to serious allegations brought forward in a whistleblower lawsuit, Gov. Jared Polis directed state agencies to share the private data of Colorado residents with ICE in ways that directly violate Colorado immigrant protections that Polis signed into law himself. Saying the right thing just to immediately cave under pressure when it matters most is the opposite of what we are looking for, especially in times like these. It’s chump behavior, and we demand and deserve better. Read our full statement on the topic here.
The judge agreed, ruling that J-Po can’t force his employees to turn over the data.

CHAMP: Yara Zokaie, Colorado House Representative for District 52 in Fort Collins
At a time when fear and violence dominate headlines, Rep. Yara Zokaie is using her platform to call for peace and humanity in U.S. foreign policy. While others stay silent, she’s speaking out and showing what real leadership looks like.
Here at home, Yara is stepping up to face one of the biggest challenges we have in Colorado: our broken tax system that’s resulted in over $1 billion in state budget cuts this year. It’s only going to get worse if nothing changes. Yara is leading the charge for real, structural reform that centers people over corporate interests.
We’re taking bold action to hold our elected leaders accountable and we need your support to continue this work! If you want us to keeping naming names in our Champs vs. Chumps campaign, give $5 today to keep it running.
